LyngbyaB

Lyngbya majuscula is a naturally occurring, filamentous, blue-green algae that has occurred in bloom proportions in Moreton Bay coastal waters.

In response State and Local Government, industry, scientific and community groups have jointly formed a Reference Group, which is advised by an independent Scientific Expert Panel, to identify causes of Lyngbya blooms, implement mitigation and control measures and develop public and stakeholder communications.
